Teaching Fellow (TF) Position: STAT-UB 103 (Regression & Forecasting Models) Instructor: Professor Elynn Chen Courses: STAT-UB 103.002: Stats F/Bus Cntl Regress & Forecasting Models (Mon/Wed 2:00-3:15 pm) STAT-UB 103.003: Stats F/Bus Cntl Regress & Forecasting Models (Mon/Wed 3:30-4:45 pm) A Teaching Fellow (TF) position is available for Professor Elynn Chen's STAT-UB 103 courses at NYU Stern School of Business. Preferred Qualifications Current Undergraduate Stern or MBA student. Previously completed STAT-UB 103 or STAT-UB 003 with a grade of A (strongly preferred). Strong quantitative skills and comfort with regression and forecasting concepts. Clear, patient communicator who enjoys helping peers learn. Teaching Fellow (TF) Responsibilities TF responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Grading approximately 4 homework assignments and 4 exams throughout the semester, following the instructor's rubric and guidelines. Holding weekly office hours (2 hours per week) to support students with course material, homework questions, and exam preparation. Proctoring 3 exams, including assisting with room setup, monitoring students during the exam, and helping with post-exam procedures. Leading 1-2 recitation sessions if needed during the semester, to review key concepts, work through problem sets, or help students prepare for assessments. Managing Brightspace as needed, including posting materials, answering student questions, and monitoring activity on the discussion board. Coordinating with the instructor to maintain grading consistency, address student concerns, and support course logistics. Providing occasional instructional or administrative support, such as preparing answer keys, creating review resources, or assisting with course organization.
