The Experiential Learning team creates academic experiences to connect curriculum theory to real business application. Experiential courses ultimately challenge students to work together in teams, to use their business knowledge and skill set, and to address a real issue or current problem facing a partner client. We are looking to expand one of our core programs, the NYU Stern Golub Capital Board Fellows Program. This program aims to provide students with valuable experience serving as non-voting members on the boards of established local and international non-profit organizations, while also working on strategic projects for these organizations. Alumni Engagement & Community Building (30%) * Refine and operationalize the existing Alumni Engagement Plan, including development of signature events and ongoing engagement strategies * Lead development of a bi-annual alumni newsletter, including format design and content input * Support planning and execution of Spring culminating event * Maintain and update the alumni database to ensure accurate tracking and outreach Marketing, Outreach, and Communications (30%) * Develop both print and digital promotional materials to increase visibility and student/nonprofit partner interest in our Board Fellows offering, including but not limited to one-pagers, decks, email blasts, social media posts, CampusGroups website, etc. * Provide strategic input on positioning and messaging of the Board Fellows program * Support development of marketing strategy to increase student and nonprofit engagement * Assist with updating and enhancing the Board Fellows website * Provide feedback on website design and user experience * Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across marketing materials and digital platforms Research & Program Support (20%) * Help the Experiential Learning team do research on the nonprofit industry both domestically and internationally to expand our current Board Fellows offering. (Specific questions to research will be identified in partnership with the Experiential Learning team) * Provide ongoing support to internal business development by assisting with the maintenance of an alumni database and exploring existing and new corporate partnerships for future projects * Collect and analyze data to evaluate pilot initiatives (Strategy Track and International Track) to provide strategic recommendations to support long-term program growth * Support ongoing assessment measures including facilitating focus groups and benchmarking other Experiential Learning programs Golub Capital Board Fellows (GCBF) Liaison (10%) * Serve as liaison to Golub Capital Board Fellows network schools; connect with network peer leaders 1–2 times per semester to gather insights and share best practices * Support and attend Stern-led Golub Capital Board Fellows events (i.e., webinars, project showcase, annual symposium, etc.) General Office Management Support (10%) * Maintain scheduled office hours and meet regularly with supervisor * Assist/manage special projects as needed and assigned by supervisor Preferred Qualifications * Current or former Board Fellow * Experience in strategy, nonprofit management, higher education, or related field * Experience with marketing, copywriting, social media, or content creation * Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills * Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities * Ability to collaborate across diverse, cross-functional teams * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Canva * Passion for nonprofits and mission-driven work * Event planning experience is preferred The time commitment is for 10 hrs/week for the Spring 2026 semester. The schedule is hybrid and can be flexible around your class schedule. Compensation for the position is a financial aid award of up to $4000.
