About the Course: The Startup Lab (MULT-UB 0301) guides undergraduate students through the thrilling ride that is the entrepreneurial startup process. This course focuses on the how-to’s of identifying and evaluating as well as researching and refining an innovative venture concept. It is taught by Cynthia Franklin, executive director of the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship. About The Startup Lab TF Role: The ideal candidate will have startup experience and/or is specializing in entrepreneurship. Knowledge of design thinking principles and the importance of applying an evidence-based, iterative approach to new venture creation is a huge plus. As TF, your role will include: • Administrative tasks such as tracking attendance, coordinating guest speakers, assembling class materials, providing feedback on assignments, etc. • Advising teams during office hours. • In-class support such as assisting with facilitating group exercises, evaluating team presentations, moderating panel discussions, etc. Time Commitment Approx. 5.5 hours per week for 14 weeks. The Startup Lab is held T/Th from 9:30 am-10:45 am. While it’s not required that you attend all sessions, it is expected that you will be available for at least 85% and be available an average of 1-2 hours per week for office hours and to perform administrative tasks. Start: 9/2/26; End: 12/14/26 Compensation Graduate student rate: hourly pay = $30/hour estimated pay = $2310-$2520 (depending upon final class size) How to Apply Please send a resume or bio to cynthia.franklin@stern.nyu.edu.
