About the Course The NYU Stern School of Business is seeking an outstanding Teaching Assistant for AI in Business (TECH-UB 40), taught by Thanos Papadimitriouâ??adjunct professor at NYU Stern, entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and Chair of Pharos AI Factor, one of the original seven EU AI Factories. This intensive eight-session course explores how artificial intelligence is transforming modern business. Rather than focusing on the technical implementation of AI models, the course examines how organizations deploy AI to create competitive advantage across functions such as marketing, finance, operations, product management, customer experience, and human resources. Students learn through a combination of case studies, startup examples, guest speakers, and discussions on the strategic implications of AI. We are looking for someone who combines strong organizational skills with genuine curiosity about AI, business strategy, startups, and emerging technologies. Responsibilities As the Teaching Assistant, you will: -Attend all class sessions and assist with classroom logistics -Respond to student questions and manage course communications -Grade assignments, projects, and participation -Track student engagement throughout the semester - Hold weekly office hours to support students individually or in groups - Coordinate guest speakers, including: - Identifying and reaching out to AI founders and industry experts - Scheduling and preparing guest sessions - Arranging campus access and logistics with NYU - Work closely with the instructor to ensure a high-quality learning experience for every student Preferred Qualifications The strongest candidates will demonstrate several of the following: - Strong interest in artificial intelligence and its business applications - Familiarity with AI use cases such as automation, personalization, analytics, and conversational AI - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Experience using modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar systems - Experience with prompt engineering is a plus - Experience as a startup founder, operator, consultant, product manager, or corporate AI analyst is highly desirable - Passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology Eligibility Requirements (NYU Stern Policy) Graduate Students Applicants must: - Have completed at least 9 credits toward a Stern graduate degree - Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 - Be enrolled during Fall 2026 (unless an approved exception applies) - Hold no more than two full Teaching Fellow appointments - Be authorized to work in the United States - Not be employed by NYU in another incompatible position Undergraduate Students Applicants must: -Be a Stern Junior or Senior - Have previously completed this course (or an equivalent course) or obtain instructor permission - Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.3 - Be enrolled during Fall 2026 - Hold no more than two full Teaching Fellow appointments - Be authorized to work in the United States - Not be employed by NYU in another incompatible position How to Apply Please submit your application through the provided form link no later than August 25, 2026.
