ABOUT US:

The Stern School of Business Office of Undergraduate Advising is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Graduate Fellow for the Spring 2025 semester. The time commitment would be either 10 or 20 hours per week for around 14 weeks. Weekly schedule would be within the office hours (Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM ET) and would be set dependent on office needs and applicant availability. This is a predominantly student facing role, and is a unique opportunity for graduate students interested in working in higher education administration or in mentorship roles.

GRADUATE FELLOW RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • -The Graduate Fellow role involves a variety of responsibilities, including: interacting with and supporting undergraduate students and other audiences in person/over Zoom, via phone and via email. Such as answering academic policy and curriculum questions, including Quick Visit drop-in advising and support for course registration times
  • -administrative and clerical tasks such as scheduling advising appointments, maintaining student file systems, data entry and spreadsheet management
  • -assisting with event planning and production - developing promotional materials, creative campaigns and publications
  • -overseeing administrative components for a 0.5 credit internship course, including processing of student applications, notifications of class policy, etc.
  • -other responsibilities as needed.

  • -comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline-focused environment
  • -Tech skills (Microsoft Suite and Google Suite experience at a minimum, but familiarity with the Creative programs [Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, etc.] is a plus!)

COMPENSATION:

Compensation for the Spring 2025 semester is $29 per hour (subject to tax withholdings) at either 10 or 20 hrs per week for roughly 14 weeks.
