WHO WE ARE This position is with the Stern Undergraduate College's Professional Development & Career Education (PDCE) team. The PDCE team's mission is to expand and diversify career opportunities for Stern undergraduates. We are not affiliated with the Stern MBA careers team or the NYU Wasserman Center, but rather we are an independent careers-focused team within the Stern Undergraduate College. The PDCE team helps students gain lifelong skills, connect with a broad range of employers across industries, and make well-informed decisions about which career opportunities to pursue. The Professional Development & Career Education (PDCE) team organizes the following: - Exploration programs that are focused on career education, self-discovery and identity development - Preparation programs that are content-focused and help students acquire working knowledge of the requisite skills needed to be competitive for the recruitment process - Networking programs designed to leverage New York City and NYU’s vast alumni network to connect students with industry GRADUATE FELLOW RESPONSIBILITIES Applicants must be flexible and have the desire to learn. Duties may include, but are not limited to: GRADUATE FELLOW RESPONSIBILITIES Applicants must be flexible and have the desire to learn. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Data analysis & reporting. In partnership with PDCE leadership, help organize and analyze results from surveys including the annual Life Beyond the Square employment survey, event feedback surveys, post-coaching appointment surveys, and PDCE Peer Mentor (student-to-student) appointment feedback surveys. Assist in data collection and survey design, clean data, build pivot tables and Tableau dashboards, and partner with the Assistant Dean ro generate reports for internal and external stakeholders. Survey design. Under the direction of PDCE staff, help design and determine optimal delivery methods for employment surveys, post-event surveys, and career coaching/mentorship feedback surveys. Attend meetings and training sessions. Attend PDCE weekly team meetings, training sessions, and optional team gatherings as your schedule allows. Adhere to all school policies and procedures Other tasks as assigned DESIRED SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES - Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills - Excellent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills - Positive attitude and desire to learn new things quickly - Outstanding project management skills and attention to detail - Prior experience with data analysis and reporting required - Preferred: skills in data analysis and visualization, e.g., Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI. Proficiency in SQL for database querying and advanced Excel and Google Sheets functions is highly desirable - Knowledge of business career paths (e.g., finance, consulting, marketing, tech, etc.) preferred, but not required LENGTH OF INITIAL EMPLOYMENT Spring 2025, with option to continue into Summer 2025 and 2025-26 school year if schedule allows 20 hours/weeks HOW TO APPLY Email your resume and a statement of interest to the Stern Professional Development & Career Education (PDCE) team at uc.careers@stern.nyu.edu.
